A double electric breast pump is just how it sounds, it works on both breasts at the same time.

Double-alternating pumps suction one breast and then the other when the suction is released. "Hands free" pumps can be worn inside bras or nursing tops. Not an attractive look, but I'm sure you won't be going outside while wearing the double electric breast pump.

Is it Ok to use an Electric Breast Pump before my baby is born?

Some new to be mothers often ask if it is ok to start using an Electric Breast Pump before their baby is born. To either see if their milk was in, or to start stocking up. To use and Electric Breast Pump or a manual breast pump is not a good idea at all.

Using an Electric Breast Pump causes nipple stimulation and this nipple stimulation can release a hormone called oxytocin. Oxytocin can produce contractions which could produce a premature labor and a premature baby. Never mind how far you are in your pregnancy, bringing on labor through nipple stimulation can bring on very quick and excessive contractions which could harm you and your baby.

One other reason not to use an Electric Breast Pump before your baby is born is because Colostrum will typically come in after the baby is born. This milk is very beneficial to your babies health as it contains important nutrients and antibodies. It also helps the new born with it's first stool as it contains a mild laxative.

So have your Electric Breast Pump ready for after you have the baby, for the best advice and recommendations on Electric Breast Pumps just read our reviews.

Of course they are safe to use, there is nothing to worry about when using an Electric Breast Pump.
Just follow a few simple steps and you'll have plenty of breast milk to feed your beautiful baby.

It is best to express when your breasts are the fullest, usually in the morning for most women. Make sure your electric breast pump is clean and sterilized. Take a seat where you are comfortable and you can relax and not be disturbed. Follow the instructions for your specific electric breast pump that you have. Take it slowly to start with and then build up. Turn the pump off before pulling the breast out.
